The biggest trout I have ever caught in my entire life.
Weather: Mostly cloudy, 70 degrees, variable winds at 6mph
Barometric Pressure: 29.96in and slowly falling
Relative Humidity: 56%
Water Conditions: Stained
Much like on Wednesday, the fishing conditions were mighty perfect today. Clouds, humidity and falling pressure can often bring about quality fishing, and today they were biting.
Unfortunately, although the fish were biting, the weren't getting hooked. I could see bass, pickerel and perch along the shoreline and I had some nice strikes, but the hooks weren't finding a home.
It looked like it was going to be a fishless day. Until........
Need I say more.
Although this HUGE brown trout was a fantastic fish in itself, the story around it is even more amazing. Without giving up a great spot, I'll just say this fish came from a hole where, technically, there should not be any trout. This one was definitely not a stocked fish and must have been residing in this patch of water for a considerable amount of time.
Yet another phenomenal catch on this great adventure.
