Day 332: Hoppy Easter

Bedminster Pond on a sunny Easter Day.
When: Sunday, April 8th (Easter), from 12:30pm to 1pm
Where: Bedminster Pond in Bedminster
What: Bass fishing with Wave Tiki Sticks
Weather: Warm and sunny, fair skies, 60 degrees, NW wind at 9mph and gusting close to 20
Barometric Pressure: 29.71in and steady
Relative Humidity: 17%
Moon: Waning, a day past full
Water Conditions: Partly stained

This was one of those days when it was very inconvenient to have to go fishing.

Lindsay and I went to mass with my parents in the morning, and then headed to Bedminster to spend some time with her family.

BUT FIRST, I had to get a little fishing done.

Neither of us were very happy about that, but we got over it.

Lindsay dropped me off at Bedminster Pond which is not far from her brother's house and she went to get gas in the car. As I was kneeling down tying a weightless, Texas-rigged Tiki Stick on, I had a small bass staring right at me. I cast from a kneeling position so as not to scare him away, but I did anyway.

I fished a few places along side the pond and saw a few bass, but they didn't seem to be hungry. I still find it difficult to fish sometimes when there's not a cloud in the sky.

I any event, I'm one day closer to the end.
