Day 329: Break On The Passaic

The Passaic River near Elmwood Park
When: Thursday, April 4th, from 1pm to 1:30pm
Where: The Passaic River near Elmwood Park
What: Fishing for pike with a spinnerbait
Weather: n/a (NOAA website down right now)
Barometric Pressure: n/a (NOAA website down right now)
Relative Humidity: n/a (NOAA website down right now)
Moon: Waxing, just before full
Water Conditions: Low and stained

I'm going to make this short and sweet because I'm trying to get out the door to meet some friends. Before I go, however, I have to get everything together for a fishing trip tomorrow that will be a lot more interesting than this one regardless of whether or not we catch fish.

This spot on the Passaic was sandwiched right between my two appointments today. I gave it hell, but nothing was doing. I've been on much "fishier" parts of this river and this stretch lacked the kind of structure pike like: weeds, blowdowns, brushpiles and stumps.

It seemed like the fish were nowhere to be found, but hopefully they will be found tomorrow.

On Hopatcong...musky fishing.
