This was supposed to be a really happy day and instead it wound up being a very sad day.
Even at noon when I caught this bass, Lindsay and I were expecting to bring a new kitty to our home tonight. Lindsay had spent months feeding this cat back to health outside her office after its mother was hit by a car. We were going to welcome Georgie to our home after it was spayed and had its vaccinations.
Sadly though, it was found out that Georgie had leukemia. After scraping for ideas on what to do, we knew the humane thing to do was to put her to sleep and made the gut-wrenching decision to do so.
I haven't been this sad in a very long time. We'll miss you Georgie, you were so loved.
