I'm starting to suspect that it's impossible to catch a carp when Lindsay is with me.
On a brighter note, I met one of my blog readers who has helped me out with a fishing spot in the past. Thanks Matt and it was nice meeting you!
Although I'm pretty sure that "spring" fishing is in full swing, I'm still having trouble getting my first carp since my first go at it on January 2nd. I've been trying to target shallow water in the afternoon on warms days hoping to find them feeding, but I've yet to get one to bite. I guess it would help if I fished for a full day, but I just don't have that kind of time.
In any event, it was great to sit outside on a gorgeous afternoon with Lindsay, even if the fish weren't biting.
I have a feeling they will be tomorrow.
