Day 304: Sunday Afternoon

Keeping me company.
When: Sunday, March 11th, from 5pm to 6pm
Where: Upper Echo Lake in Mountainside
What: Enjoying a beautiful afternoon lakeside with Lindsay...and fishing for carp
Weather: Mostly cloudy, 61 degrees, SW wind at 18mph and gusting to 24mph
Barometric Pressure: 30.45in and starting to drop
Moon: Waning, 3 days after full
Water Conditions: Very muddy

What an incredibly beautiful day for March. And it looks like there are plenty more on the way.

Of course, before I could venture outside on this gorgeous day, there was writing to be done. Luckily though, reports are still pretty thin and I was able to finish early. By that time, Lindsay was back from feeding her pet stray cat, George, near her office and we headed to the park.

I was hoping the warm sunny day would have the carp feeding in the shallows, and after looking around for a bit, I thought I spied a few. We propped up chairs, set out the chum, cast the rods out and starting making more wedding and honeymoon preparations. During our planning, I took time the time to re-bait and re-chum a couple of times, but whatever was disturbing the water in front of me either wasn't carp or wasn't biting.

It really didn't matter all that much.
