Day 276: The Heck With February

Cold and windy...again.
When: Sunday, February 12th, from 3pm to 3:30pm
Where: Lower Echo Lake in Mountainside, Union County, New Jersey
What: Fishing
Weather: Mostly cloudy, 32 degrees, NW winds at 15mph and gusting to 30mph
Barometric Pressure: 29.82in and rising
Moon: Waning, 5 days after full
Water Conditions: Fairly clear and cold

When Jay, Redi and were patiently floating our way to freedom on the Delaware on Friday, we had some time to talk. One of the topics that came up was how February is the toughest month to fish, particularly without any ice.

I can't help but agree with that notion wholeheartedly, as once again I was shut-out on Sunday. This is beginning to sound like a broken record, but I can't help but think there is better fishing to come.
