Short work weeks never seem to be as pleasant as one might expect. You would think having Thursday and Friday off would bring a degree of satisfaction and comfort to a Monday morning, but no.
Instead, Monday was all about car troubles, incredibly difficult customers and disappointment. Such is sales...a series of dull, often frustrating moments punctuated by moments sublime (have I made my point yet?). The only variation today was that there were no dull moments. They were just flat-out frustrating.
By the time I made it to Mindowaskin Pond after dinner, I really needed the break. It had started to rain momentarily, but stopped by the time I made it to the park. I seem to be stockpiling nightcrawlers these days as tossing lures has become a hopeless cause, and that's exactly what was on the end of my hook as it sat waiting in the depths of the small puddle in Westfield.
Once again, this was to no avail. That's okay though, I needed the peace and quiet much more than I needed a fish today.
