Day 165: Enough Already

Another small fish.
When: Monday, October 24th, from 5:15pm to 5:45pm
Where: The Rahway River
What: Fishing
Weather: Mostly cloudy, 62 degrees, SE wind at mph
Barometric Pressure: 29.99 and steady
Moon: Waning, a day before new
Water Conditions: High

Ahhhhh, I'm getting really tired of catching tiny fish.

In all honesty though, I actually set-out on Tuesday night with the hopes of scoring a big fall-stocked trout or maybe even a decent largemouth. I had some baby nightcrawlers leftover from the weekend, and I was sure they would make it a lock for some non-stop action with some quality fish.

Wrong.

The river was high, but still fishable. I drifted the worms in every fishy-looking spot I could find, but the end result again was only some tiny, tiny sunfish.

I'm trying....I swear.

The new moon is tonight and I'm going to meet Andy on the Raritan. Between today and musky fishing with Nick on Saturday, hopefully I can break this spell and catch a decent-sized fish.

Hopefully.
