Day 134: Carpin' In The Rain

Lake Nomahegan on a rainy day.

When: Friday, September 23rd, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm
Where: Lake Nomahegan
What: Carp fishing
Weather: Rainy, SE wind 6mph, 73 degrees
Barometric Pressure: 30.01in and falling
Moon: Waning, a few days after the third quarter
Water Conditions: Murky

Some people say that fish bite better in the rain. Well, they were certainly biting, but just not staying on the hook. That's mostly likely because said fish were probably sunnies.....not carp.

Even without fish and lots of rain, it was a wonderful evening on the lake.

After overcoming a difficult time of year for me, my spirit seems to be lifting and I've regained a positive attitude. I took that energy to work today and had an extremely successful day. So, by the time my workday ended, it wasn't really going to matter whether or not I caught any fish......I was already feeling better.
