Day 124: Trying Again

A quiet spot on the Rahway River near Cranford.
When: Tuesday, September 13th, from 6pm to 6:30pm
Where: The Rahway River near Cranford
What: Carp fishing
Weather: Partly cloudy, 84-degrees, SW wind at 10mph
Barometric Pressure: 29.92in and steady
Moon: Waning, a day past full
Water Conditions: Falling and muddy

Plans change.

So, when my plans changed last night, I had to rethink my 30 minutes and fish as close to my house as possible. Aside from the little canal that runs a block away from my house, this quiet stretch of the Rahway is the closest place to my house.

I picked up some corn from King's hoping to recreate a little of yesterday's magic, but 30 minutes was not enough time to get another runoff.

After meeting with some friends last night, I got home late and then got sucked into a T.V. show. I'm exhausted today and I could really stand to burn a couple vacation days, but that's going to have to wait. I want to go back to bed right now, but it's off to work.

It's times like these that make me wonder if I have another 8 months of this in me.
