Day 118: When It Rains It Pours

An egret perched on a pedal boat on yet another rainy day.
When: Wednesday, September 7th, from 5:30pm to 6:30pm
Where: Warinanco Park Pond
What: Fishin' in the rain......again
Weather: Rain, overcast, 71 degrees, 12mph NE wind
Barometric Pressure: 30.08 and steady
Moon: Waxing, 5 days before full
Water Conditions: Muddy

Into every life a little rain must fall.....but this is getting out of hand.

Not that I'm complaining, because if anything I'm counting my blessings. When I drove to Lake Nomahegan this past Sunday, it was the first time I had witnessed the walls of trashed personal belongings on the curbs from the flooding last week.

It was sobering.

After hearing stories yesterday about people's homes that were no longer inhabitable and had to be condemned, I cringed while hearing today that the Passaic, Rockaway and Raritan Rivers were once again on the rise.

People's lives have been ruined from all this rain.

So, you're not going to hear me complain about how it started pouring the second I got out of my car to go fishing.

And I'm definitely not going to complain about not catching a fish.
