When: Monday, August 15th, from 6pm to 6:30pm

What: Fishing
Weather: Cloudy with T-storms around.
Moon: Waning. 2 days past full.
Water Conditions: Muddy, but could have been worse considering all of the rain

Fishing in the face of adversity has proven to be difficult....kind of.

It seems like 2011 has been "the year of the disaster," and while dealing with yet another minor-catastrophe.....I had to go fishing.

I always think that it's going to be impossible to fish with so much on my mind, but every time I start casting my lure, the world seems to just fade away. I didn't catch anything, but the time spent focusing on my bait instead of on life was definitely worth its weight in gold.

Things are never as bad as they seem, and after each "incovenience," that Lindsay and I have had to deal with this year, our lives have gotten considerably better. As I sit here writing this, I'm once again trying to get out the door so I can take Lindsay to get her new car. The engine seized in her Explorer on Sunday.

Yesterday, this was a cause of stress.

Today, it's the cause of happiness.

Funny how that works.
