Day 51: Just A Formality

Messinger Lake near Cooper's Rock State Forest.
When: Saturday, July 2nd, from 2pm to 2:30pm
Where: Messinger Lake in West Virginia
What: Drowning a few worms with Lindsay
Weather: Hot and humid. Near 90-degrees. Sunny skies with a 5mph W to SW wind.
Moon: Waxing. A day after new.
Water Conditions: Fairly clear.

Let's face it, there are going to be some fishing trips during this endeavor when I'm going to be more focused  on getting it over with than actually trying to catch a fish.

This was one of them.

Because I slept late and because we had plans for Saturday night, I needed to do my 30 minutes in the afternoon. We took a day-trip to Cooper's Rock State Forest and afterwards Lindsay joined me for a half-hour of worm-dunking in a little trout pond near the park. I'm always in the market for new locales since I need to find a new place to fish every day that I'm here.

It was hot, humid, sunny and the middle of a day, i.e, perfect conditions for NOT catching fish.

Which we didn't.

Next Up: I still haven't utilized Cheat Lake for my 30 minutes. That could change after 12am or early tomorrow morning.
