Day 45: Turtle Soup

Turtles on a log in Milton Lake.
When: Sunday, June 26th, from 6am to 9am
Where: Milton Lake in Rahway
What: Carp Fishing
Weather: 70ish degree. Partly Cloudy.
Moon: Waning. A few days before new.
Water Conditions: More clear than expected.

Turtles will undoubtedly eat anything, even corn.

I was sure that Pat and I were going to catch at least one, maybe even two or three carp today. We went to the scene of my last successful carp outing and employed the same tactics. We threw some corn in the water, but as 30, 50 and over an hour passed, there were no signs of any carp coming to feed in the swim.

Pat got a couple turtles though.

I also have to apologize, because as I'm writing this, I'm am thinking about the seemingly 2,000 phone calls that I need to make for work today and the hundred other things that need to get done before I go away Wednesday night.

It seems like too much.

And, I have to fishing and write a blog everyday.

All that being said, it was great to do some "bait and wait" with Pat. Letting corn soak definitely provides for some time to catch-up, and we needed it.

Next Up: I have no idea.
