Day 25: After-Hours

Fishing at dusk in Westfield.
When: Monday, June 6th, from 8:45pm to 9:15pm
Where: Mindowaskin Pond in Westfield
What: Fishing
Weather: Prob near 75-degrees. Calm Wind. Clear Skies.
Moon: Waxing. A week after new, few days before the first quarter.
Water Conditions: Stained (most likely with goose-droppings) like always

Although it was a wonderful night to be outside, this was a difficult outing.

There were a couple things that I wanted to do after work, so I decided to fish later on in the evening. Also, since it was an oppressively hot day, I figured that it might be more comfortable to go out when the sun went down a bit. My line of reasoning was pretty good, however, I had misjudged what time it actually gets dark, then ran late and did not have a flashlight with me.

So I was fishing blind.

Although I couldn't see too much, I had Lindsay there to keep me company. That undoubtedly helped pass the time as I hopelessly waited for a carp to take the corn on my hook.

When 30 minutes was up, I was happy to be on our way home.

In the future, there will be a headlamp and a flashlight in my car. I'm sure there will be times when things come up and I need to fish after dark, so I may as well be prepared and give myself a better chance at actually catching something.

Next Up: Fishing!!
