After motoring from Brandywine Slough to Utsch's Marina then driving from Cape May to Normandy Beach to Union County, I finally crawled into bed at 2:30am.
At 5:30am, I drove Lindsay to Newark Airport and after another catnap, was up for work at 7am.
I would really have liked to have went to bed instead of fishing after work, but I signed-up for this and there's no going back now.
Several days ago, when I was carp fishing near my home, someone told me about a tiny park pond in Middlesex County that is "loaded with huge, 5 and 6 pound bass." I've been thinking about it all week and since I wasn't keen on driving too far on Thursday, I decided to check it out.
I have to say, that after seeing this little, muddy puddle, I have to question the validity of the information I received. This place didn't look like it had A fish, little less being "loaded with huge, 5 and 6 pound bass." Although I may have been casting to nothing, I gave it a full 30-minutes, not a second less or second more, and headed back home to get my rest.
While I was fishing, someone who wandered by had apparently heard the exact same thing about monster bass in this tiny drink. There is someone I know who will undoubtedly be able to verify or debunk this legend, and Steve will be getting a phone call this weekend.
Next Up: Fishing. Not sure where, but it will be sometime today.
