A couple fish taken from the hallowed catfish grounds. When:Sunday, August 29th, from 6am to 8am
Weather:Another cool morning. No wind.
Moon:Waning, a few days after full.
I'm happy to report that Pat's fishing career is coming along just fine.
It was my distinct pleasure when I put him on his first trout and his first adulthood largemouth bass, and I was now attempting to put him on his first catfish.
The before-dark to wee-morning hours continued to produce at my favorite hole. This was Pat's first visit and he caught his first cat. The action wasn't as fast and furious as it has been at times, but fish were biting and a few stayed tight.
I once again had the hot hand, and probably landed a half-dozen fish in two hours. There was one channel catfish bigger than the one I'm holding above, but this one got the photo-op.
Seeing as Pat had some things to do and I had some writing to do, this exursion was only slated for a couple hours. I was back home by 8:30am, having caught a bunch of fish and ready to type.
Not bad if you ask me.
